Job summary

Southern Company seeks a Special Projects Project Management Supervisor to lead and direct Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers on transmission line and substation capital projects. You will oversee statewide teams across Interconnection, DOT, Physical Security, Fiber, Telecommunications, and more, ensuring safety and strategic delivery.

The role requires demonstrated leadership, strong stakeholder management, and extensive knowledge of project management practices and utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Advanced degree and/or PE/PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years' combined experience in electric utility areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for APMs and PMs on transmission line and substation capital construction projects.
• Oversee statewide project management teams within Special Projects (Interconnection, DOT, Physical Security, Fiber, Telecommunications, Transmission Grid Investment Program, WAR).
• Collaborate with PMO Leadership and internal/external partners to drive PMO effectiveness and strategic initiatives.
