Job summary

Worley in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to support the development and implementation of project logistics strategies and to coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and other project resources to their required destinations, in alignment with schedules and cost objectives.

You will analyze logistics requirements, develop practical plans, monitor shipments, review procedures for compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with procurement,

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, business, transportation, operations, or related discipline.
• Typically 7 years of relevant logistics experience in energy, chemicals, resources, engineering, construction, or similar environments.
• Experience developing and implementing logistics strategies for projects involving movement of materials and equipment.
• Strong understanding of transportation, distribution, delivery coordination, inventory management, and logistics planning principles.
• Experience coordinating logistics activities across multiple stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and project functions.
• Working knowledge of transportation, customs, import/export, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for complex logistics matters.
• Experience leading functional project teams or guiding junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of project logistics strategies with the Manager of Logistics and project leadership.
• Coordinate logistics activities for movement of materials, equipment, and resources to required destinations.
• Develop logistics plans considering project requirements, delivery schedules, and transportation methods.
• Analyze requirements and identify opportunities to improve workflow and delivery performance.
• Monitor shipments and delivery schedules to ensure on-time, on-spec outcomes.
• Review procedures and recommend improvements to minimize cost and maximize service.
