Altius Talent | Freight Forwarding Recruitment in Houston is seeking a commercial professional to develop project logistics opportunities with EPC, energy and industrial clients, focusing on international freight forwarding for project cargo.

You will qualify cargo requirements, build relationships with decision-makers, and collaborate with pricing and operations on proposals that can be executed, managing the sales cycle from inquiry to award.

Qualifications

• Business development or sales experience within project logistics or international freight forwarding.
• A record of winning or developing project-related business and managing a considered, technical sales process.
• Working knowledge of breakbulk, out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo and multimodal project movements.
• The ability to build customer relationships and work closely with pricing and operations on workable transport proposals.

Responsabilités

• Identify and develop project logistics opportunities with EPC, energy and industrial customers.
• Build relationships with decision-makers in logistics, procurement, supply chain and project management.
• Qualify cargo requirements, project schedules, tender timelines and the customer's purchasing process.
• Develop proposals with pricing and operations across ocean freight, air freight and specialized inland transport.
• Manage the sales cycle from initial inquiry and request for quotation (RFQ) through negotiation, award and implementation.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and track revenue, gross profit and account development against agreed targets.
