Job summary

BDP International in Houston, TX seeks a Pricing Specialist for Projects, Heavy Lift and Oil & Gas to support quoting, client proposals, and vendor relationships for the PSA BDP BDS team.

You will engage with origin/destination offices, procurement, and tender management to ensure market competitiveness and accurate rate cards. Must have at least 1 year in sales support/telemarketing in freight forwarding and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year business experience in sales support or telemarketing at freight forwarding company.
• Prefer experience in Projects/Heavy Lift/Oil and Gas.
• Understanding of Freight Forwarding quotation process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer Skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; CRM and quoting tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quoting and preparing new logo client proposals by engaging with origin/destination offices and procurement teams.
• Liaise with local domestic transportation providers to maintain vendor relationships and competitiveness.
• Maintain client rate cards and ensure Salesforce/CRM data is up to date.
• Create new customer portfolio by identifying leads via cold calling, research, and analysis.
• Organize customer visits for the sales team as needed.
• Assist with completion of RFIs and RFQs and support regional leadership reports.

Job Description

• Assists with quoting and preparing new logo client proposals for the PSA BDP BDS team by engaging with origin and destination offices, as well as with procurement and tender management
• Focus is on Projects, Heavy Lift and Oil and Gas
• Liaise with local domestic transportation providers to maintain and improve on vendor relationships and ensure market competitiveness
• Ensure client rate cards are maintained up to date as needed
• Ensure Salesforce is up to date for the country/region
• Manage and maintains sales specific campaigns and projects
• Creates new customer portfolio by identifying new leads via cold calling, using lead generation tools, and research and analysis
• Organize customer visit for the sales team as needed
• Communicate with department heads in regard to customer’s quoting needs
• Conducts good relations with customers and PSA/BDP employees
• Assists with preparation of sales and marketing related reports upon request for PSA BDP BDS or regional leadership and country management
• Assisting with completion of RFI and RFQs as needed
• Work with BDS and Operations to develop Standard Operating Procedures as needed
• Maintain designated target lists for BDS team
• Other Duties as required

Job Requirements
