Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an experienced Project Manager to identify, plan, and manage scope, resources, schedule and budget for large, complex initiatives. You will lead ROI analyses, develop proposals and charters, and establish governance with stakeholders.

You will drive schedules, budgets, risk mitigations, and staff assignments, while clearly communicating expectations, mentoring others, and presenting status to varied audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years leading all aspects of large complex projects.
• 4+ years of experience with standard project management methodology, tools, and/or software packages.
• Demonstrated ability as a core decision-maker showing balanced consideration of business issues.
• Ability to drive results through informal authority, serve as a consultant to key business partners, and represent users and customers in every thought and interaction.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from Senior Management and other departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to effectively understand and communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete a project.
• Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan and manage scope, resources, schedule, budget and risk for large complex projects.
• Lead cost-benefit analyses, ROI forecasts, project proposals, charters and risk analyses.
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Establish stakeholders and governance for projects.
• Secure appropriate project staff resources.
• Communicate roles and expectations to teams clearly.
• Escalate issues to stakeholders and propose solutions.
• Create and present status updates and audience-appropriate information.
• Mentor and support other Project Managers.
