Job summary

NextEra Energy seeks a Senior Manager of Projects to lead planning and execution of onshore natural gas pipeline and facilities initiatives from development through closeout. You will direct multidisciplinary teams, manage risk, and provide executive-level reporting while ensuring safety, compliance, and cost discipline.

The role supports onsite and remote work with travel to Florida build sites, requiring strong leadership and collaboration across engineering, procurement, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of combined experience in designing, permitting, and constructing onshore natural gas pipelines and related facilities.
• 4+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• Professional Engineer license, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or comparable credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple natural gas infrastructure projects through full lifecycle (transmission pipelines, compressor stations, M&R facilities).
• Develop and approve scopes, execution plans, cost estimates, schedules, staffing, contracting strategies, and risk registers.
• Direct engineering, construction, operations, and commissioning interfaces to maintain alignment on scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and regulatory commitments.
• Coordinate permitting, land, and procurement data guidance; oversee bid packages and contractor solicitations.
• Manage project controls: schedules, manpower, cash flow, progress measurement and executive status reporting.
• Assess execution risks and commercial exposure; lead mitigation, change control, and contractor/vendor negotiations.
