Job summary

LMI is recruiting for a Project Lead in the IBAS program to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy. This hybrid role requires residing within commutable distance to Alexandria, VA, and an active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET.

Responsibilities include leading DoW OIB analyses, assessing production capacity, and coordinating with DoW, services, and industry partners to deliver strategic assessments and briefings for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (master's preferred).
• 5+ years supporting DoW acquisition, industrial base analysis, logistics, or defense manufacturing.
• Knowledge of the OIB and related depots, arsenals, and plants.
• Experience with kinetic weapons, munitions, or weapons sustainment.
• Strong written and oral communication for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Lead on kinetic capabilities OIB portfolio.
• Assess health, capacity, and modernization needs of DoW OIB.
• Develop strategies to strengthen surge capacity and resilience.
• Conduct base assessments for missiles, ammunition, and defense systems.
• Evaluate investments in manufacturing, automation, and digital engineering.
• Support planning for production expansion and technology transition.
• Coordinate with DoW, services, defense contractors, and federal agencies.
• Prepare executive briefings and decision papers for leaders.
• Monitor risks to materials, supply chains, and capacity.
