Job summary

LMI is seeking a Mid-level Project Lead to support the IBAS program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy. This hybrid role requires residing near the Washington, DC area with occasional client visits and an active SECRET clearance capable of TOP SECRET upgrade.

The candidate will analyze DoW OIB health, capacity, and modernization needs; assess production capabilities; and coordinate with DoW, military services, and contractors to brief senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, defense studies, public policy, or related field (master's preferred).
• 5+ years supporting DoW acquisition, industrial base analysis, logistics, or defense manufacturing.
• Knowledge of the OIB and defense industrial base facilities.
• Experience with kinetic weapon systems or weapons sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kinetic capabilities organic industrial base (OIB) portfolio.
• Analyze health, capacity, modernization needs of DoW OIB for kinetic weapons and munitions.
• Assess production capabilities, workforce readiness, and supply chain risks at DoW facilities.
• Develop strategies to strengthen surge capacity and sustainment.
• Coordinate with DoW, services, defense contractors, and agencies; prepare senior leadership briefings.
