Job summary

Foth is seeking a team-focused, innovative Project HVAC/Utilities Engineer to contribute to client projects with a strong emphasis on mechanical equipment, P&IDs, and energy systems. The role supports engineering design, cost estimates, and field installation with potential remote work from a Green Bay, WI base.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of industrial HVAC and utility systems experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and a track record in equipment specs and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• 7+ years of experience with industrial HVAC and utility systems (steam, chilled water, hot water, compressed air, CO2, refrigeration, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other project disciplines as required.
• Develop equipment specifications
• Work with clients, vendors, and suppliers to develop cost estimates and support proposals
• Develop mass energy balances
• Develop process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
• Develop equipment lists, line lists, and POC lists
• Develop operation specifications
• Work with designers to create drawings
• Write installation scope documents
• Support on-site construction and installation efforts
• Support checkout and start-up activities
• Coach and mentor team members as needed
• Perform on-site surveys to determine existing conditions
• Travel as needed (approximately 25% annually)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
