Job summary

Foth is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to deliver innovative utility solutions for industrial clients. You will develop and execute process utility systems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help shape best practices in a growth-oriented environment.

Approximately 30% travel is required, with remote or Green Bay area options. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 7+ years of experience with utility systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 7+ years of experience with utility systems (steam, refrigeration/ammonia, compressed air, HVAC, compressed gases, water).
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred; Industrial HVAC and Dust Control experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other project disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
• Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation.
• Partner with clients, vendors, and suppliers to generate cost estimates and contribute to proposal development.
• Create mass and energy balances to support process design.
• Produce process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Compile equipment lists, line lists, and points of connection (POC) documentation.
• Define operational parameters and performance criteria.
• Work closely with designers to translate engineering concepts into drawings.
• Mentor and coach junior team members as needed.
• Conduct on-site surveys to assess existing conditions.
• Travel as required, with an anticipated average of 30% annually.
