Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer for our Sacramento and Santa Rosa offices. You will execute project work, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidiscipline teams while engaging with clients on challenging infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Geotechnical Engineering, California PE license, and 6–10 years of geotechnical consulting experience. California SE license preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is required.
• California PE license required; California G.E. designation preferred but not required.
• 6–10 years geotechnical engineering experience with infrastructure focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects.
• Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and documentation.
• Complete engineering analyses including soil/rock classification, foundation capacity, settlement, slope stability, seismic hazard evaluation, and earth retention systems.
• Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports and construction drawings/specifications.
• Be actively involved during construction and interact with client representatives.
