Job summary

Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation VT ARC seeks a Project Finance Manager to support a new DoW-sponsored S&T Center. This role develops and maintains project financial plans, monitors execution for budget alignment, and ensures GAAP compliance across government-funded initiatives.

Collaboration with Program Managers and leadership is essential to deliver financial oversight and transparent reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of financial management experience in government contracting.
• Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200, FAR and GAAP.
• Ability to develop and manage project budgets and financial plans.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Unanet) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project finance plans and budgets.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with plans.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to managers and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with federal requirements and GAAP.
• Collaborate with Program Managers to mitigate financial risks.
• Support audits and maintain documentation.
• Facilitate communication across Finance and Program Management.
