Job summary

Balfour Beatty US, a leading general contractor and design-build firm, seeks a Business Manager to direct financial management on a major project. This role reports to the Project Manager and Region Controller, handling records, forecasts, and monthly reporting across divisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and have 2–4 years of project-level financial leadership, GAAP knowledge, and strong analytical and communication skills.Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–4 years of financial management experience on small projects up to $50m.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Ability to collect and assemble data for the development of financial reports.
• Ability to analyze complex information and formulate decisions.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with operations.
• Strong PC skills and software proficiency.
• Budgeting and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records of the project in accordance with BBII SOPs and GAAP; invoicing, AP, reports.
• Provide monthly financial reports to Divisional and Corporate Management.
• Prepare detailed project and overhead cost / revenue forecasts.
• Maintain a control environment consistent with BBII SOPs.
• Cash forecasting and management.
• Oversee budgets and financial operating reports.
• Monitor actual results vs. forecasts and provide improvement plans.
