Balfour Beatty in Charlotte is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex construction programs, providing strategic oversight and mentoring project teams. The role focuses on delivering on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

The successful candidate will drive financial performance, client satisfaction, and safety excellence while coordinating business development, risk management, scheduling, procurement, and stakeholder communication across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CM, CE, architecture or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction PM; proven success leading large/complex projects.
• Strong business acumen, financial management, and risk assessment skills.
• Experience mentoring multiple project teams.
• Proficiency with PM software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Sage 300 CRE.

Responsibilities

• Strategic project oversight of large or multiple projects; align with financial goals and standards.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; support new business pursuits and presentations.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cash flow, owner requisitions, change orders, and subcontractor contracts for fiscal control.
• Direct project schedules, time‑impact analyses, and risk assessments with Project Executive and Superintendent.
• Mentor and coach Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Engineers; provide performance feedback.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor buyout, and contract negotiations for cost effectiveness.
• Drive quality and safety programs; ensure Zero Harm compliance and operational standards.
• Chair stakeholder meetings; facilitate conflict resolution and communicate strategy to leadership.
• Oversee turnover, client satisfaction evaluations, and lessons‑learned reviews for continuous improvement.
