Job summary

SLSCO LTD in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Project Executive to lead the successful delivery of public-sector design-build projects in NYC. You will provide strategic leadership across project execution, client relations, contract negotiations, financial oversight, and business development.

You will serve as the primary client-facing leader, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and compliant with NYC procurement and MWBE requirements, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior leadership role.
• Experience delivering high value design-build projects; government projects preferred.
• Proven track record delivering public-sector projects in NYC; knowledge of NYC procurement and MWBE required.
• Strong knowledge of NYC procurement processes, MWBE and diversity compliance, prevailing wage, and public contract requirements.
• Demonstrated success in client-facing leadership roles with ability to develop long-term relationships.
• Expertise in financial oversight including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and margin management.
• Proficiency in construction management software: Procore, CMiC, Textura.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• DBIA or Associate DBIA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level direction across multiple high-value design-build projects.
• Act as primary point of contact for senior client representatives.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, profitability, and risk analysis.
• Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with owners and subcontractors.
• Pursue new public-sector opportunities with executive leadership.
• Drive project team performance, schedule, safety, and quality.
• Mentor Project Managers and senior staff.
