Job summary

SLSCO is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale NYC public-sector design-build projects valued at $300M+. You will guide cross-functional teams, coordinate with clients and agencies, and ensure schedule, budget, and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee contract administration, procurement, and risk management while upholding safety standards and quality. The role demands expert stakeholder management and strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in construction project management with 5+ years on NYC public-sector projects over $50M.
• Experience leading subcontractor procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and client management.
• Strong knowledge of contract documents, NYC agency procurement procedures, prevailing wage, and certified payroll.
• PMP, PE, or RA is preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Procore, CMiC, and Textura.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of public-sector design-build projects valued at $300M+.
• Drive subcontractor approval, scopes of work, bid leveling, and awards.
• Develop and enforce schedules using Primavera P6; ensure milestones are met.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance, and cost control to optimize margins.
• Serve as primary client/agency contact; manage relationships and expectations.
• Review, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and claims per NYC rules.
• Ensure MWBE participation, prevailing wage, and payroll compliance.
• Provide financial forecasts, risk registers, and schedule updates to executives.
• Coordinate design, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and meet goals.
• Champion site safety and OSHA/NYC DOB compliance.
• Mentor junior staff on project controls, documentation, and client management.
