Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Executive for our Gig Harbor, WA office. The role oversees construction operations and provides leadership to project teams, with emphasis on Federal construction experience and strategic growth. Salary range is $194,000 to $237,000, commensurate with experience.

The position reports to the Director of Operations and involves high-level management across budgets, schedules, and client relations, plus travel for large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Fifteen+ years in construction industry experience required.
• Senior Manager/Project Executive/Director on $50M-$200M projects required.
• Federal construction project experience required.
• Proven history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for large-scale construction projects.
• Manage project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders including senior management and clients.
• Monitor and control construction through on-site field management to keep project on schedule and within budget.
• Manage and support proposal creation and client presentations.
• Oversee financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests and maintain client relationships.
• Provide leadership to preconstruction teams analyzing value, opportunities, and risk.
• Coordinate project commissioning and handover activities.
• Manage project closeout activities.
• Maintain a network of industry contacts to expand business opportunities.
