Job summary

Willmeng Construction, Inc. seeks a senior Project Executive to drive large, complex federal projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring government standards are met.

This role connects project teams, clients, and leadership to deliver exceptional results with a focus on compliance and operational excellence. The PX will mentor PMs and field teams, manage budgets, and pursue new federal contracts while maintaining strong relationships with federal agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; extensive experience may substitute.
• 5–7+ years of progressive construction management experience, including large federal projects.
• Expert knowledge of construction processes, quality standards, and federal regulations.
• Builds and mentors high-performing teams and drives project excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and oversight for large federal construction projects from start to finish.
• Mentors project managers, superintendents, and field teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensures compliance with all federal regulations, contract terms, and safety standards including Davis-Bacon.
• Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates project risks; resolves issues as they arise.
• Develops and manages project budgets, tracks financial performance, approves change orders.
• Acts as primary liaison with federal clients and agencies, managing expectations.
• Drives business development by pursuing new federal contracts and leading proposals.
• Oversees communication and reporting; ensures documentation meets standards.
• Leads pre-construction planning, staffing, and establishment of work plans and procedures.
