Job summary

Wallace Electric Co. is seeking an accomplished and results-driven Project Executive to lead the operations team.

The role oversees multiple commercial and industrial electrical construction projects, driving safety, quality, and profitability while aligning client needs with company objectives. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in electrical construction, 5+ years of leadership, and a strong track record managing projects from $5M to $100M+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; degree substitution allowed for experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and industry experience considered.
• 10+ years progressive experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple projects and project teams.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale electrical projects ranging from $5M to $100M+.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for multiple commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents, Leads/Foremen and staff.
• Establish project execution strategies and operational plans to achieve objectives.
• Foster a safety-focused, accountable, collaborative culture with continuous improvement.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, procurement, and closeout activities.
• Monitor milestones, labor productivity, and material management.
• Ensure projects meet safety, schedule, budget, and contract requirements.
• Review budgets, forecasts, change orders, and major purchasing decisions.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain profitability and financial performance for the project portfolio.
• Review financial reports, cash flow, and earned value metrics.
• Drive forecasting, budgeting, and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure proper billing, collections, and contract compliance.
• Develop relationships with owners, developers, and contractors; pursue growth opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, resolve claims, and mitigate project risks.
• Support safety, quality assurance, and incident investigations.
