Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Project Estimator II to join the estimating team. You will lead and prepare estimates, develop pricing models, and evaluate new technologies across a varied portfolio including wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission projects.

The role emphasizes accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with organizational goals. Growth opportunities exist within project estimating, with collaboration across engineering and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for our projects.
• Perform conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary construction plans to support estimating scope quantification.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
• Perform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimating processes.
