Westinghouse's WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Senior Project Estimator for a 1-year contract (W-2). Onsite at Juno Beach, FL is preferred, with remote candidates considered.

The role focuses on preparing and managing cost estimates across multiple projects, developing pricing models, and evaluating new innovations in the industry. The senior estimator will work with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather data, ensure accuracy, and provide value engineering options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project estimating, with focus on conceptual engineering and project design.
• Experience in utility-scale energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and transmission infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates for conceptual, preliminary, and definitive scopes.
• Develop pricing models and quantify project scope.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather specifications and drawings.
• Perform value engineering to identify cost savings while preserving quality.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for uncertainties.
• Present estimates and options to senior management and clients.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
