Job summary

Westinghouse Staffing Services in Florida seeks an entry-level Project Estimator to join the project estimating team on a 1-year W-2 contract. You will prepare and manage cost estimates for diverse projects, focusing on accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.

You will report to the Manager of Project Estimating and collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather specifications and develop pricing models for wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates for new and existing projects.
• Perform conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary construction plans to support estimating scope.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project specs and drawings.
• Perform value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities while meeting project requirements.
• Present cost estimates and value engineering options to senior management and clients.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
