Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey invites applications for the Senior Engineer of Projects (Sr. EOP) to lead engineering services for TB&T capital and operating programs.

Located at 4 WTC, you will guide a team of EOPs, ensuring scope, budgets, and schedules align with commitments and quality standards. You’ll identify and mitigate red flags, work across departments to deliver on time and within budget, and lead collaboration on procurement strategies and project development

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years in development and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects including design, construction and procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university.
• Experience directly managing diverse work groups of technical/project management professionals.
• Superior interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate staff, ensuring staff capabilities align with industry practices.
• Oversee performance of the engineering team and manage project delivery including PM plans, budgets and milestones.
• Report progress to EPE and Chief of Project Delivery on issues and actions.
• Support development of authorization documents to advance Capital Planning.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver efficient project delivery mechanisms and contracting strategies.
• Assist in SGR prioritization and 10-year Capital Plan development.
• Ensure effective communication among teams and stakeholders throughout project phases.
• Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders to advance project interests.
