Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking an experienced transportation executive to join TB&T as Deputy Director for Priority Capital Construction Programs. You will oversee a substantial capital budget and direct the executive team managing TB&T’s priority projects, including major bridge, tunnel, and terminal programs.

You will represent the Director when needed, lead organizational priorities, and collaborate across departments to drive efficiency, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of executive‑level experience in a large transit operation.
• At least 7 years in the public transportation field.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Advance TB&T’s Priority Capital Construction Programs and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Represent the Director in TB&T matters when the Director is out of office.
• Oversee leaders within the Department managing Priority Capital Construction Projects.
• Provide guidance on inter‑departmental initiatives impacting operations, budgets, safety, and customer service.
• Contribute to strategic planning, policy agenda, and the department’s business plan.
• Review organizational structure to ensure efficient staff alignment and diversity.
