Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Engineer/Project Engineer (PE) / Technical Program Manager (TPM) for a Cedar Rapids team to lead engineering efforts supporting mission-critical capabilities for the warfighter. This onsite role focuses on multidisciplinary coordination across systems, software, hardware, and firmware with direct customer interaction.

The role requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of experience, strong leadership, and active SECRET clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in avionics systems development, verification/validation, and interfaces.
• Experience in Project Management, CAM, and earned value management.
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technology and engineering focal point for leadership and the customer on programs.
• Guide engineering development in accordance with Management Systems, Engineering Process, requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid-size projects and adjust as needed.
• Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis on assigned programs.
• Lead SETR events (PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).
• Define and manage technical risks & opportunities and mitigate.
• Coach and delegate work to lower-level professionals.
• Coordinate with resource managers to ensure proper staffing.
