Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the APNT Solutions team in Cedar Rapids. The role focuses on architecting and developing real-time embedded navigation and timing systems for military applications, with emphasis on verification, test, and cross-functional collaboration.

The engineer will verify requirements, develop tests in secure labs, perform design reviews, and coordinate across teams to deliver robust navigation products for the warfighter, onsite at Collins

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance; US citizenship or eligibility per DoD requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify and trace system requirements.
• Develop and execute verification test procedures in a secure lab.
• Conduct peer reviews on test procedures and design documents.
• Collaborate across teams to achieve program goals and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Own design approach through SME collaboration and drive issue resolution across teams.
• Share lessons learned to improve team methods and processes.
