Job summary

The Birdon Group is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate between production, quality, purchasing, and design engineering. You will drive Engineering Change Requests, track metrics, and lead system design reviews from SRR through CDR.

You will also oversee training and performance of the engineering team, ensure compliance with standards, and partner with quality on root-cause investigations across government projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or similar field.
• Minimum 10 years of project engineering experience on government projects.
• Familiarity with system and digital engineering principles.
• Experience with automation and modular open systems architecture.
• Knowledge of ASME/ANSI drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between production, quality, purchasing, and design engineering.
• Lead engineering change processes and traceability.
• Provide weekly status updates on issues and risks.
• Develop and review change proposals and CFRs.
• Mentor staff and improve department processes.
