Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems division is seeking an Engineering Change & New Drawing Project Manager to lead EC coordination and drawing releases. This role serves as a hub between design engineering, manufacturing, quality, configuration/data management, and program managers to ensure timely, traceable documentation.

The successful candidate will manage complex EC workflows, drive process improvements, and maintain strong stakeholder communication in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 0–4 years.
• Experience with engineering drawings, ECs, and configuration/data management.
• Experience leading complex EC workflows and coordinating across teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end coordination of ECs and new drawing releases.
• Track EC and drawing progress daily with a status worksheet.
• Lead daily standups with design engineering to review EC status.
• Monitor workflow steps and escalate when duration exceeds benchmarks.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality and programs to drive EC decisions.
• Ensure release documentation meets configuration control and traceability requirements.
• Create and maintain EC and drawing release schedules and dashboards.
• Capture lessons learned to improve future EC processing.
