Job summary

Weatherford seeks a Senior Project Engineer for Surface Pumping Units in Houston. You will lead development from concept through prototyping, design reviews, and testing, ensuring compliance with API/OSHA/ISO standards.

You will provide field and manufacturing support while guiding new product concepts and maintaining strict time/quality targets. Requires extensive experience in surface pumping equipment, Creo modeling, FEA, and fabrication processes, with a strong track record in oilfield

Qualifications

• Lead the development of new products and technology for Surface Pumping units.
• Design components for compliance with OSHA, ISO, AS and API standards.
• Contribute to evolution of concepts; feasibility studies to progress to preliminary design.
• Participate in design reviews to identify best trade-offs and optimize designs.
• Provide design solutions to prevent premature failures; perform lab tests and data analysis.
• Provide technical support for surface pumping lines; field issues, manufacturing support and sustaining projects.
• Interface with manufacturing and engineering to develop robust, cost-effective designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new products and technology for Surface Pumping units from concept to testing.
• Design components and sub-assemblies for standards compliance (OSHA, ISO, API).
• Conduct feasibility studies and select concepts for preliminary design.
• Perform FEA analysis and review to identify high-stress areas and validate designs.
• Provide technical support for field issues and manufacturing; root cause analysis for failures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, field, and engineering to deliver robust designs within time/quality constraints.
