Job summary

Lockheed Martin's NGG team is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the assigned domain. The role ensures product designs meet engineering principles, corporate standards, and customer requirements while managing design changes and drawing releases.

The position also supports scheduling, technical development, and resolution of engineering design and test issues, using tools like Microsoft

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects and familiarity with project-management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Effective written and oral communication; able to brief senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Program Planning & Execution – Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and control mechanisms; monitor progress against milestones and baselines.
• Design Review & Compliance – Review product designs for adherence to principles, standards, contract requirements, and specifications; approve changes and drawing updates.
• Technical Coordination – Interface with cross-functional teams to resolve design and test problems; track issues to closure.
• Documentation & Reporting – Prepare status reports and risk assessments; maintain project documentation per security guidelines.
• Tool Utilization – Use project management tools and Office suite to track tasks, deliverables, and EV metrics.
• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities for process enhancements; support agile and waterfall methods.
