Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of major transportation infrastructure. You’ll work with Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership, handling cost tracking, change management, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil/infrastructure, understands contracts and project controls, and can coordinate field, procurement, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with plans and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specs, and project documentation.
• Experience with cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze labor costs, quantities, production and project performance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in executing large transportation projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and requirements.
• Track and process Change Orders, Change Proposal Requests, and Owner Pay Applications.
• Assist with changes in scope and documentation for compensation or schedule impact.
• Monitor costs and produce cost/production reports; assist with forecasting.
• Analyze labor costs, quantities, production and project performance.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and documentation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and other technical docs.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specs, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
