Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering bachelor required; other technical degrees considered with relevant experience.
• 10+ years in manufacturing/process or project-focused roles.
• 7+ years managing CAPEX projects in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodology across high-value projects.
• Proficiency with MS Project, SAP, and similar PM applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize complex projects from initiation to closure.
• Lead cross-functional project teams including engineers, procurement, safety, operations, and contract labor.
• Prepare and manage project budgets ($250k to $5M), forecasts, and cost controls.
• Allocate resources to meet timelines and objectives.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental regulations compliance at all stages.
• Act as liaison between project team, plant management, and external stakeholders.
• Provide updates to senior leadership on progress and financial performance.
• Provide guidance on technical aspects including process design, equipment selection, and construction activities.
• Review engineering designs for standards and policies.
• Drive adoption of best practices to improve plant performance and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with Procurement to source equipment and services.
• Develop & execute Commissioning Plans for projects; support qualification ramp-up.
• Manage external resources for detailed engineering, construction management, and support.
• Oversee project delivery including scope, cost control, cash-flow forecasts, schedules, training, and reviews.
• Lead process safety and environmental compliance projects; ensure PSM requirements.
• Participate in plant safety programs.
