Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead large-scale process safety and capital projects at the Chalmette, LA facility. You will manage scope, budgets ($250k–$5M), schedules, and cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering, 7+ years in manufacturing/project roles, and strong knowledge of PM methodologies and chemical process design. Travel occasionally to group locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years in manufacturing process or project-focused roles.
• 7+ years managing CAPEX projects in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process design.
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels and vendors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize complex projects from initiation to closure.
• Lead cross-functional project teams including engineers, procurement, safety, operations and contract labor.
• Prepare and manage project budgets ($250k to $5M), forecasts, and cost controls.
• Allocate resources to meet timelines and objectives.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Act as liaison between project team, plant management, and external stakeholders.
• Provide updates to senior leadership on progress and financial performance.
• Provide guidance on process design, equipment selection, and construction activities.
• Develop commissioning plans and manage external resources.
