Job summary

Fibrebond, an Eaton company, in Minden, LA, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to design custom enclosures for switchgear, gensets, and power control equipment. You will lead mechanical/electrical layouts and coordinate with customers, contractors, and field staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing, AutoCAD 2D proficiency, and NEC familiarity. Occasional travel is expected; relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
• Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an electrical or mechanical engineer
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting software
• Familiarity with NEC and local/national Building Codes and standards
• Knowledge of load calculations, equipment layout, and distribution systems

Responsibilities

• Manage the drawing process with drafting team from customer approval to as-built drawings
• Prepare original layout of building interiors and exteriors per requirements including gensets and switchgear routing
• Configure electrical systems, alarm wiring, and environmental control systems
• Design mechanical and structural systems for assigned projects
• Specify components and purchase parts; enter project data in Engineering Database
• Travel to meet customers (less than 20 days/year) and assist project management and production teams
