Job summary

Fibrebond, an Eaton company, seeks a Senior Project Engineer at its manufacturing campus in Minden, LA, onsite. You will design custom enclosures for switchgear, gensets, and power control equipment for mission-critical applications in data centers and industrial markets.

You will guide the drawing process, coordinate with drafting teams, and ensure compliance with electrical and building codes while supporting customers and field personnel. Relocation assistance is available for US residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of experience as an electrical or mechanical engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting software.
• Familiar with the National Electric Code and other national/local codes.
• Knowledge of engineering calculations including load, layout, distribution, lighting, grounding, and value engineering.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position; no CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manages the drawing process from customer approval to as-built drawings with a drafting team.
• Prepares original interior and exterior layouts based on requirements and specs.
• Configures electrical systems, wiring, alarms, and environmental control systems.
• Designs mechanical and structural systems for assigned projects.
• Specifies components and purchased parts and prepares AutoCAD drawings as needed.
• Maintains current project information in the Engineering Database and tracks schedule.
