Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager in Jacksonville, FL, to lead engineering programs that maximize facility reliability and drive capital project execution. The role manages the capital budget, oversees contractor programs, and supports ISO 9001 quality management through continuous infrastructure improvements.

The position reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and budget while upholding safety and regulatory standards across the site.

Responsibilities

• Capital Project Leadership: Oversee the capital planning process and execute the capital plan to ensure all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Financial Management: Direct the capital budget, manage cash flow forecasting for project expenditures, and oversee the formal closing of completed projects.
• Process Safety & Compliance: Manage the overall PSM contractor program and coordinate onsite contractors to ensure strict alignment with facility safety and regulatory standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Partner with plant leadership to analyze downtime metrics and champion engineering initiatives that enhance overall plant reliability and equipment performance.
• Technical Oversight: Provide high‑level technical and engineering expertise to optimize unit operations and support long‑term plant quality systems.
