Job summary

BD in El Paso, TX is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to drive equipment, processes, and facility projects for capacity expansion and cost reduction. You will ensure compliance with BD quality systems and safety regulations while coordinating with engineers, vendors, and BD plants.

The role requires strong English communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a track record in leading complex manufacturing initiatives and implementing new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• PMP training/certification is preferred.
• 7–10 years manufacturing project experience required or preferred.
• 2 years medical industry experience required.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, justification, specification development, and budgeting.
• Oversee vendor interactions, equipment specifications/design, concepts, and negotiations.
• Oversee machine purchase and installations, and the building of whole machines or processes.
• Provide leadership for process and machine design of new product/process developments.
• Identify and implement significant continuous improvement projects.
• Provide lead in creativity around solving problems and secure resource planning.
• Develop and implement new technologies and collaborate with BD Plants and platform teams.
• Ensure safety and quality across all projects and align with company goals.
