Job summary

BD in El Paso, TX is seeking a Shift Leader to manage daily manufacturing operations for medical devices, ensuring adherence to FDA/GMP and BD Quality System while driving safety, quality, and productivity. You will lead production teams, monitor KPIs, coordinate staffing, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years of manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in regulated environments (medical device/pharma)
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to analyze production data and drive operational decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day production activities to achieve schedules and customer requirements
• Monitor key performance indicators: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity
• Ensure staffing levels meet operational needs and manage shift handoffs
• Drive attainment of production targets while maintaining quality and compliance
• Support investigations, CAPAs, audits, and corrective actions
• Coach and develop production associates and team leads
