Job summary

rand* construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead project coordination and mentor Project Engineers on site in Alexandria, VA. The SPE will partner with PMs and external partners, developing schedules and tracking RFIs, submittals, and cost impacts.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in Engineering/Construction Management and strong knowledge of contracts, finance principles, and Procore. This full-time role emphasizes growth, leadership, and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with PM and Senior PM on project activities.
• Onsite coordination with superintendent and trades.
• Train and mentor Project Engineers on minutes, RFIs, and workflow processes.
• Review RFIs and submittals; assist with prime contract exhibits.
• Track costs and schedule impacts; support subcontracting and MSAs.
• Manage COIs and ensure safety and site standards.
• Review subcontractor invoices with PM oversight; assist change orders.
