Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive execution on large vertical construction projects across the Southeast, including student housing and mid/high-rise multifamily builds. The role travels to active job sites and collaborates with Project Managers and Superintendents on RFI, submittals, and cost control.

The ideal candidate has 4–8+ years in commercial construction, experience with Procore/Bluebeam/MS Project, and a construction management degree.

Qualifications

4–8+ years of experience in commercial construction.
Experience on student housing, multifamily, or mid/high-rise projects preferred.
Proven ability to manage project documentation and coordination independently.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and logistics.

Responsibilities

Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality.
Assist in project scheduling, phasing plans, and look-ahead planning.
Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts.
Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades.
Drive QA/QC processes and ensure work aligns with plans/specs.
Maintain strong communication between field operations and office teams.
Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
