Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive project execution from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on large-scale, vertical construction projects.

This traveling role across the Southeast supports active job sites, with 4–8+ years of commercial construction experience, and familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or similar.

The position offers a strong base, bonus, and travel/per diem, and a clear path toward PM roles.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Experience on student housing, multifamily, or mid/high-rise projects strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage project documentation and coordination independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality.
• Assist in project scheduling, phasing plans, and look-ahead planning.
• Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts.
• Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades.
• Drive QA/QC processes and ensure work aligns with plans/specs.
• Maintain strong communication between field operations and office teams.
• Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
