Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support field activities and assist the Project Manager across multiple projects, ranging from small to mid/large. The role often acts as a go-to person with potential supervisory duties over support teams.

Responsibilities include cost/schedule management, change order review, procurement, and financial reporting, ensuring safety and quality across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years’ of experience, or 8 years’ of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of construction software such as Primavera, Timberline
• Ability to understand, customize and modify spreadsheets
• Must be able to maneuver on job site trailers and varied terrains; physical effort required

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Manager on cost and schedule management, including monthly billings and earned value reports
• Develops critical path project schedules for medium to large projects
• Manages analysis of targets, job cost summaries, and other reports
• Collaborates with Superintendent and PM to optimize resources
• Reviews and negotiates change orders and tracks status
• Oversees procurement and field purchase orders; participates in financial reviews
• Supports Project Engineering, QA/QC, safety and risk management
