Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support field activities and assist the Project Manager on project administration for multiple small projects or one larger project.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 8 years of construction experience) and proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Primavera and Timberline. Travel up to 25% and strong leadership are expected as you help drive cost control and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8 years’ construction related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of Primavera and Timberline.

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Manager on the Management of Cost and Schedule.
• Submits and/or approves monthly billings and earned value reports.
• Manages development of critical path project schedule documents on one medium to large-sized project, or multiple small to medium-sized projects.
• Reviews and negotiates change orders and tracks status.
• Manages the procurement process and makes recommendations to the Project Manager.
• Approves field purchase orders for standard purchase packages.
• Analyzes project financial performance and participates in the project financial reviews.
• Oversees the Work of Direct Reports and ensures a safe work environment.
• Participates in Training / Certifications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or 8 years’ construction related experience
