Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support field activities and assist the Project Manager with project administration on multiple small projects or one medium-to-large project.

This role often acts as the go-to person, potentially supervising roles such as Document Control, QA/QC, Scheduler, Cost Controller, and more while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent with 4 years’ experience, or 8 years’ construction experience and/or training
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of Primavera and Timberline
• Ability to customize and modify spreadsheets
• Must be able to maneuver in/out of job site trailers and varied terrains
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 20 pounds

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Manager on cost and schedule management
• Submits/approves monthly billings and earned value reports
• Develops critical path schedules for one large or multiple smaller projects
• Analyzes targets, job costs, and reports; prepares cost reviews
• Reviews change orders with Project Manager and tracks status
• Manages procurement and field purchase orders
• Ensures safety and oversees QA/QC and training functions
