Job summary

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a senior-level engineer to join our Investigative Engineering Group in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on investigation, evaluation, repair design, and management of small to medium projects for existing structures.

You will lead and mentor junior staff, contribute to professional involvement, and help expand our California presence while delivering technically excellent solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum required.
• 9+ years progressive engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, or passing the 16-hour NCEES exam equivalent.
• Prior experience with ASCE 41 and the International Existing Building Code.
• 5+ years of project management experience including end-to-end projects.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco Bay Area; relocation may be provided.
• Demonstrates leadership and supports financial metrics.

Responsibilities

• Assists in conceptual design for investigations and repairs.
• Assists in fee determination and proposal preparation.
• Establishes a QA/QC plan for each project.
• Mentors junior engineers and supports career development.
• Attends project meetings and represents the firm during design and construction.
• Follows up on collection of accounts receivable.
