Merrick & Company is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead multi-discipline teams across Oil, Gas, Chemical, Food & Personal Care, Industrial & Manufacturing and Bioprocessing projects. The role offers a hybrid schedule and can be located in several offices, including Richmond, VA and Newport News, VA.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years in Project Engineering
• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering
• Experience with Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Power, Industrial Manufacturing, Food & Personal Care and Bioprocessing
• Experience with codes and standards (ASME, API, NFPA, PIP)
• Experience supervising engineers and designers
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Scheduling Software (MS Project, Primavera)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
• Must have valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Project Manager with managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Leading design activities and managing design deliverables.
• Ensuring client satisfaction and working closely with the client's technical team.
• Coordinating engineering disciplines and managing discipline interfaces.
• Managing project resources, technical changes and expediting scheduled activities.
