Job summary

Merrick's Energy, Manufacturing and Bioprocessing business unit is seeking a Project Engineer to lead multi-discipline teams and act as the primary technical interface with clients, project management and procurement.

This hybrid role supports Oil, Gas, Chemical, Food & Personal Care, Industrial & Manufacturing and Bioprocessing projects across multiple offices including Ellicott City, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 12+ years engineering experience with 5+ years in Project Engineering.
• Background in Mechanical or Process Engineering and industrial design.
• Experience with codes and industry standards (ASME, API, NFPA, PIP).
• Experience supervising engineers and designers.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead design activities and managing design deliverables.
• Ensure client satisfaction and coordinate with client's technical team.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines and manage discipline interfaces.
• Manage project resources, technical changes and expediting scheduled activities.
