Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer for its Energy, Manufacturing and Bioprocessing unit. The role supports multi-discipline teams across Oil, Gas, Chemical, Industrial Manufacturing and Bioprocessing projects in a hybrid office setup (Greenwood Village, CO and other locations).

You will lead design activities, coordinate disciplines, manage scope and schedule, and serve as the technical interface to clients and procurement, while mentoring engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 12+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years in Project Engineering.
• Background in Mechanical or Process Engineering and industrial design.
• Experience with Oil, Gas, Chemical, Power, Industrial Manufacturing, Food & Personal Care, and Bioprocessing projects.
• Experience with codes, industry standards and guidelines (ASME, API, NFPA, PIP, etc.).
• Experience supervising engineers and designers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Scheduling Software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera).
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid driver''s license and insurable driving record; U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Project Manager with managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Leading design activities and managing design deliverables.
• Ensuring client satisfaction and working closely with the client''s technical team.
• Coordinating engineering disciplines and managing discipline interfaces.
• Managing project resources, technical changes and expediting scheduled activities.
