Job summary

Copeland is seeking an Experienced Project Engineer to lead the development and commercialization of next-generation HVAC compressor technologies. You will provide technical leadership across the New Product Development lifecycle, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and global teams to move concepts into production.

You will apply Lean principles, assess performance, reliability, and cost tradeoffs, and support prototype builds and production readiness while communicating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and mechanical system design.
• Experience managing multiple technical priorities simultaneously.
• Proven ability to independently analyze problems and develop solutions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts supporting development of advanced HVAC compressor platforms.
• Plan, execute, and interpret development and validation testing.
• Evaluate product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost tradeoffs.
• Analyze engineering data and provide technical recommendations to support product decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support prototype and production builds.
• Provide technical guidance across cross-functional product development teams.
• Develop and improve engineering analysis tools and methodologies.
• Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Apply Lean principles and risk mitigation strategies throughout the product development process.
• Support product commercialization and production readiness activities.
