Job summary

Copeland is seeking an Experienced Project Engineer to lead development of next-generation HVAC compressor technologies in the United States. You will drive technical leadership across concept to production, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and global teams to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer value.

You will apply Lean principles, conduct validation testing, and provide data-driven recommendations while supporting product commercialization and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical system design.
• Experience managing multiple technical priorities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Familiarity with NPD and lean principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts supporting development of advanced HVAC compressor platforms.
• Plan, execute, and interpret development and validation testing.
• Evaluate product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support prototype and production builds.
• Provide technical guidance across cross-functional product development teams.
• Develop and improve engineering analysis tools and methodologies.
• Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Apply Lean principles and risk mitigation strategies throughout the product development process.
• Support product commercialization and production readiness activities.
